Class of 2009 Graduation

Several scholarships and awards were presented during Saint Patrick School's Class of 2009 graduation ceremony, which was held on June 18 at Saint Patrick Church.

Holly St. Cyr was awarded the American Legion Auxilliary Award for outstanding citizenship.  Holly will attend the Brooks School in the fall.

The Lions Club Awards for outstanding academic effort were presented to Kayla Foley and Thomas Behrakis.  Kayla will attend Bishop Guertin High School, while Thomas is enrolled at Austin Preparatory School.

Alec Beaulieu received the American Legion Post #100 Veterans Award.  Alec is enrolled at Central Catholic High School.

The Knights of Columbus Saint Patrick Pride Awards are presented annually to students who demonstrate academic success, achievement in extracurricular activities, and notable school spirit.  Michaela Fitzgerald and Bryce Henderson were this year's recipients.  Michaela will attend Dracut High School in the fall, while Bryce will begin his studies at Lowell Catholic High School on scholarship.

The Women's Guild Awards are presented annually to two graduating students who have been role models of respect.  This year's recipients are Nick Gorski and Lyndsey Bond.  Nick will attend Central Catholic High School, and Lyndsey will attend Bishop Guertin High School in the fall.

Adam Wentzel received the Peggy Pringle Kramer Scholarship Award.  Adam also is the recipient of a four-year scholarship to Lowell Catholic High School.

Adam and Nick also were recognized for having the second-highest cumulative grade-point average in the class.

Orion Dalton received one of two Pastor's Awards.  Orion will attend Lowell Catholic High School on a four-year scholarship. 

Victoria Wasylak also received a Pastor's Award.  Furthermore, Victoria received special recognition for earning the highest cumulative grade-point average in her class.  She will attend the Academy of Notre Dame on a four-year scholarship.

Nicole Eng received an award for "demonstrating through words and actions the true meaning of the word friend."  The award is presented annually by the school nurse and is fittingly named the Nursie Award.  Nicole will attend Bishop Guertin High School in the fall.

Lindsey Bond, the award-winning essayist from the Class of 2009, will attend Bishop Guertin High School.
